I never saw a gun
I never saw drugs
I was never the victim of a major crime
I lived with both my parents
I lived down the street from my school
I always had enough to eat
I had health insurance
I had friends
My parents took me to the library
I played sports
I always got presents for my birthday
I knew I would go to college
I was loved
I knew I was loved

Dinner with friends
Fun in the kitchen
Huge mess
People to help clean up
Lots of laughter
Good one
Never a dull moment
Sweeter dessert
Subtle hints
Crowded table
Slow goodbyes
Fulfilling night

If I were a cop, I would:
1. Drive the wrong direction on a blocked off road.
2. Eat a lot of donuts.
3. Be really mad if someone called me a pig.
4. Not abuse my powers.
5. Wear comfy shoes.
6. Become a sharp shooter.
7. Pull people over for driving 15 under on the highway.
8. Set a good example.

Things I think on long drives
"Man, I love a clean windshield."
"Why are there so many top 40 stations?"
"People cannot maintain speed to save their lives."
"Ah, beautiful sky.."
"I forgot my sunglasses. Again."
"I could be reading/drawing/knitting if I were on a bus, but I might be surrounded by crazy people again."
"I love the twinkling city lights."
"I hope no one's in my back seat."
"Oops, my inspection's out."
"Should I stop at Starbucks? No, save the money. But frappuccinoooos...NO!"
"Praise be to the maker of the iPhone & earbuds....Who could I call?..."
"...............Am I there yet?"

Why I Like Knitting
- Yarn is soft
- I'm creating something
- There are millions of patterns to choose from
- Yarn comes in all types of colors and textures
- It's therapeutic
- It gives me something to do with my hands
- It makes me feel accomplished
- I can check off each line of the pattern :-)
- I'm new at it, so I get to learn lots of stuff!

Why I Like Lists
1. They can be numbered, unnumbered, lettered, bulleted, or just listed.
2. It makes me feel organized.
3. I like checking things off (to-do lists, packing lists, shopping lists, etc.).
4. Then I can easily see all my options/reasons/things.
5. I won't forget anything.
6. I can keep adding later.
7. They're so versatile!
8. It reminds me of the little things.
9. Making them keeps me awake/sane on long car trips.
10. They are easier to read than paragraphs.
